INFORMATION |
Application Procedure:
Aspirants can buy the LSR application
form from the college premises or fill up the Delhi University
common admission form. Three courses, in order of preference, ought
to be filled out in the form. After the form submissions,
LSR releases its first cut off list
announcing the time of interaction between the applicant and the
department in-charge of the chosen department. |
Prerequisites:
LSR sets up its own pre-admission
counselling cell to put your admission woes to rest. To be declared
eligible, the candidate must fulfil the following requirements:
- The applicant must have passed the Central Board of Secondary
Education (CBSE) or an equivalent
- The calculated aggregate for admission must include English
with other three elective subjects. Applicants applying for
Sanskrit can include any language apart from Sanskrit in her
best-of-four aggregate.
- Students applying for courses relating to commerce and
economics must have studied mathematics in class 12. However, this
does not imply that mathematics has to be necessarily included in
the calculation of the best-of-four total.
- In addition to the general criteria, different departments have
different criteria details of which have been mentioned later.
- 4% will be deducted for the streams listed below:
Basic Nutrition, Body Perfection and Yoga, Calligraphy, Commercial
Art, Cooking, Cosmetic Chemistry & Beauty Care, Cutting &
Stitching, Dance, Domestic Science, Fine Arts, Food Preparation,
Food Preservation, Graphics, Hair Dressing, Home Economics, Home
Sciences, Library Science, Marketing, Insurance, Music, Office
Management & Secretarial Practice, Painting, Physical
Education, Salesmanship, Sculpture, Textile Designing, Typing,
Weaving, Applied Arts, Dance, Agriculture etc.
Along with the declared cut off percentage, the following

Foreign Board:
Students who have completed their high school education from an
international board are required to get in touch with the Foreign
Student Advisor so as to obtain a letter stating:
- Eligibility
- Validity of the applicant’s visa (student or long term)
- Equivalence of the applicant’s grades with the Indian
Board
All general admission rules are applicable to such students as
well. Students who have passed from International Baccalaureate,
the University provides guidelines to determine equivalence of
their grades with the Indian Board.

Sports and ECA
Category:
For admission through the sports and ECA
quota, the college sets up a committee to evaluate the competence
of the applicant and to hold interviews. This committee works on
the basis of the Evaluation Chart issued by the University of
Delhi. For the purpose of admission through the sports quota, the
applicant needs to submit a certificated of physical fitness signed
by a registered medical practitioner along with the other
prerequisites mentioned earlier. The students applying for
admission through the ECA quota need to
submit a letter of recommendation attested by the Principal of the
school last attended providing a detailed explanation of the
activities the student took part in.

Documents required:
At the time of admission, the applicant must submit the original
and photocopy of the following:
- Date of birth certificate or secondary school or equivalent
examination certificate clearly stating the date of birth
- Original mark sheet issued by the board or university
- Character certificate issued by the school last attended
- Two passport size photographs with the admission form and one
at the time of enrolment
- Reserved category certificate wherever applicable.
Admissions under OBC
quota
A candidate applying under the
OBC quota
must:
- Fill in her OBC certificate number in
her admission form
- Attach a copy of her OBC certificate
with her admission form
- Show that her admission form clearly mentions that she
DOES NOT belong
to the creamy layer
But if the
OBC certificate is in the name
of the parent, the following conditions are to be met:
- The applicant must show a copy of the receipt showing that she
has applied for the OBC Non-creamy layer
Certificate on her own behalf.
- The applicant will have to sign an undertaking stating that she
will present her own certificate before the session starts i.e.
16th July
- The admission is subject to verification of the OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate through the
college’s own sources.

IMPORTANT DATES
LSR usually starts with the admission
procedure on the 1st of June and goes on until the month end. The
last date of the form submission was 16th June and the first cut
off list was declared on the 26th of June. Subsequently, the second
list (if any) comes out by the 1st of July.
